RANCHO ALEGRE Located
near the Northern tip of the Sacramento Valley, midway between Redding and Red Bluff, Rancho Alegre is a combination Training
Stable, and Breeding Farm for Sport Horses. Gay Talmey and her husband, Steve Bischoff, own and manage Rancho Alegre.
Gay, who is a licensed USEF Hunter/Jumper Judge, Steward and Jumper Course Designer, is in charge of training, instruction
and sales, while Steve's duties include managing the farm, and providing input as the "voice of reason". The ongoing quest at Rancho Alegre is to maintain
that perfect balance between the pursuit of excellence in the competition arena and protecting the welfare and happiness
of our equine partners, between a serious dedication to our training program, while enjoying the process and engaging
in a gut-splitting laughing jag now and then. We balance training sessions with trail rides along Cottonwood Creek that borders
our property, and serious study with the camaraderie of good friends enjoying good food and iced tea (or Margaritas) under
the oak trees. Yes Virginia, it IS possible to be a dedicated horseman without losing your sanity or sense of humor. Come
out to Rancho Alegre and find out for yourself....
